We have sadly had to close the riding school gates yet again due to the 3rd Lockdown. We will continue to care for all our horses and ponies, just as we usually do through the winter months. We have a plentiful supply of our own homemade haylage, so they will all be well fed during this cold time of year.
Thank you to all our lovely riders, your support has been amazing over the last few months. We will reopen as soon as we are allowed, just look on the brightside, winter will be nearly over by the time we do open. You will be able to ride in better weather and you can look forward to having lessons in the new arena which just this week was signed of by Herefordshire Council to be put into use for lessons.
The following policies may apply when we re open, if not we will update when the reopening regulations are published.
At present we are unable to accept bookings from riders that normally live in an area under the Goverments Tier 3 restrictions.
We prefer to accept bookings from riders who are able to ride with little or no assistance. However we are now able to take beginner riders either on a one to one basis or in semi-private groups. Jumping lessons can resume provided riders have had a flat lesson or hack with us since our re-opening.
Parents will still need to help children to mount, alter stirrups and girth. If necessary for small children a parent may need to walk along side their child for extra support.
We will only take bookings from clients who are from households who have been observing strict social distancing, are non-symptomatic and who have observed all government requirements during lockdown.
Should your situation change between booking a lesson and the lesson day we will accept cancellations with no fee providing we are given notice by 17.30 the night before your lesson.
We prefer riders to wear their own hats and P.P.E. including clean gloves and must make use of sanitising facilities upon arrival and departure. Please wash gloves and clothing after attending. NO RIDING GLOVES, NO RIDING. Riders are able to hire one of our hats for £1 a time. We are disinfecting hats after use and putting then out of use for 72 hours. If riders prefer, we are happy for them to wear a face covering.
All lesson bookings must be made over the phone or via email. Lessons must be paid for at the time of booking by Bank transfer. If this is not possible we will take cash provided it is the correct amount in a labeled envelope, no change will be given.
Please DO NOT attend if you or someone in your household is feeling unwell or showing symptoms of Covid 19
Any cancellation fees will be transferred over to the following lesson.
All riders to complete a new rider registration form so that we have your most up to date details.
Please scan the QR code with your NHS COVID -19 App to check in.
Only one person from the same household will be permitted to attend per rider. If this person assists rider to mount they must wear suitable footwear, NO sandles or Flip flops.
Clients are asked not to arrive at the stables more than 10 minutes before their lesson time and to depart immediately following their lesson.
All rides will be strictly risk assessed and kept within riders competence.
By booking a lesson you have acknowledged that you have read and accepted these conditions.
We also run a working farm, which is why at certain times of the year riding is not always available every day.
